1. 100% Client-Side Processing

Every tool marked with our "🔒 Runs in your browser" badge executes entirely inside your browser's local memory on your own computer or phone. Your files are never transmitted over the network to Shoal or any third party.

2. Optional Share Links & Cloud AI Modes

• Screen Recorder Share Links: If you explicitly click "Create Share Link" after recording a video, your encrypted video blob is stored temporarily so your link recipient can stream it, and automatically expires after 7 days.
• Optional Cloud AI Tools: If you opt into a paid Cloud GPU mode (via Replicate), only the single input image required for that inference job is transmitted over TLS and immediately discarded after generation.

3. Zero Tracking Cookies

We use privacy-first, cookieless analytics and store your pinned tool preferences (shoal_pins), theme (shoal_theme), and optional AI wallet token (shoal_wallet_token) strictly in your browser's local storage.
